Bishop Ambrose Pinger ordained me on December 16, 1967. Since then
I have done ministry in various cultures and languages. First I
worked in Brazil, then the USA and then in Congo in Africa. Most of
my years of ministry in this country were done in formation work,
forming Franciscans and priests. Ten years were spent at St. Peter’s
Church in downtown Chicago, seven of which had me directing the
worship team, planning liturgies. After a short stint as
administrator in Ashland, Wisconsin, I was privileged to be a member
of the founding community of an interprovincial Franciscan Hermitage
in Ava, Missouri. The call to serve here in Joliet was a total
surprise, but I have found the people here a great group to serve. I
enjoy the bicultural situation here and feel at home with both
groups
